Wood-decomposing fungi

This illustration aims to explain the role of wood-decomposing fungi in forest ecosystems.

I made this illustration in the context of an online course by illustrator Bruno Valasse called “Informative illustration: Awaken your curiosity”. In this course, I imagined an illustrated book about dead trees and their importance for other organisms that inhabit in the forest. This artwork is a double-page illustration that would be included in this hypothetical book.
